About Kionese
The instrument you use before therapy.
Kionese is an AI-powered relationship clarity tool. You answer honest questions about one situation — it gives you a direct read, in your own words, about your actual life.
Kionese lives here.
The gap nobody built for
Between quietly struggling and sitting across from a therapist lies a long, crowded space. Most people live there for months — re-asking the same question every week, to friends who already picked a side, to strangers online, to themselves at 2 a.m.
Therapy is powerful, but it sits behind cost, waitlists, and the hardest step of all: walking in without knowing what you'd even say. Kionese exists for that space — not a lighter therapy, a different tool. It gets you clear first.
Most couples wait years before naming what is actually wrong — long enough for the real issue to disappear behind newer ones. The research behind that is laid out, with verified sources and citations, in Kionese Editorial’s reading primer.
How a Kionese read works
These aren't features. They're rules the product is not allowed to break.
Your words, quoted back
A read must anchor to what you actually said. If it couldn't quote you, it isn't allowed to conclude it.
No labels, ever
No diagnosis for you, and none for your partner. Labels are banned from every report — a label ends thinking, and clarity requires it.
One committed answer
Vague advice is a form of cowardice. Ask a direct question and Kionese takes a position, shows its reasoning, and tells you what not to do.
Private by design
Your answers are yours. In couples sessions each partner answers privately — nobody sees the other's raw answers, only the shared reading.
When people reach for it
Four moments where a read changes what happens next.
The stay-or-go loop
You've re-argued the same decision for months. One session turns the loop into a committed answer with reasoning.
Before a hard conversation
The talk you keep postponing — get the exact opening words, what not to say, and how to handle pushback.
When you both see it differently
Couples answer the same questions privately. Kionese shows precisely where your two views of the same relationship diverge.
Before your first therapy session
Turn your reflection into a one-page brief for a therapist — so the first appointment starts at the work, not the history.
How it's different
Plenty of apps orbit relationships. None of them are built for this exact job.
Therapy apps want a patient
They're built for treatment — courses, exercises, a clinical journey. Kionese is built for one clear read before any of that begins.
AI companions want your attention
A companion is designed to be missed. Kionese is designed to be finished — get clarity, put it down, live your life.
Couples apps want you to agree
Question decks and date-night prompts assume you see one relationship. Kionese starts from the truth: there are always two views.
Advice wants to pick your side
Friends, family, and internet threads answer from their life. Kionese answers only from your words — and can quote them to prove it.
What Kionese is not
Not therapy. Kionese isn't a licensed clinician and never pretends to be. If you need one, it says so — and hands you a brief to bring along.
Not a companion. It doesn't want to be your friend or be missed. A good instrument is used, then put down.
Not a judge of your partner. It reads what you shared. It won't issue verdicts about someone who isn't in the room.
Two people. One relationship. Two views.
Our two characters exist for a reason: every relationship is two honest, incomplete views of the same thing. Kionese is built to hold both — it's why couples answer separately, and read together.
“Emotional clarity shouldn't be a luxury. Neither should health, education, or a dignified old age.”
Built small, on a universal purpose
Kionese launched in May 2026, fully bootstrapped — no investors, no growth team, no engagement dashboards, no sponsorships, no ads. That independence is what lets a clarity tool keep its principles.
Is free healthcare a basic right for everyone across the globe today? Is free education? The honest answer is no — not yet. We believe it can be, and that belief has to start somewhere. So a generous share of revenue is pledged to that world: free healthcare for everyone, free education for everyone, across the globe — and helping elderly people live meaningful, dignified lives.
Kionese runs on social entrepreneurship — the mission is built into the business itself, not bolted on. We take no donations, no sponsorships, no crowdfunding; every initiative is funded by revenue alone. It's one of the reasons Kionese exists at all: clarity you can afford, funding care the world still can't.
More initiatives are coming. Kionese has no revenue yet, so there are no amounts or recipients to report yet. Once there are, we'll publish an update on the blog each financial year — what came in, what was given, and where it went. A plan is a purchase of the service, not a donation (terms).
Every session is part of this. Every plan — Individual and Couples — contributes to it.
Fix what matters.
